Toxic and then I heard at some point that Boys was offered to Janet. I also heard it was originally meant for Micheal Jackson and they changed up some of the lyrics for Britney from a woman's perspective which inspired the Co-Ed Remix (the original lyrics from a guy and then Britney's lyrics from a girl).

I loved that experimental phase (2001-2002) of pop thanks to the Neptunes mainly, Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo. Then pop had another amazing transitional era in 2006-2007 thanks mainly to timbaland, danja and pharrell williams.

Lool I mean possibly but Justin Timberlake is known to write his own songs. He was very involved in all his albums lyrically and musically.

Toxic was offered to Kylie Minougue, not Janet

MJ really lost it by Dangerous era which coincidentally when Quincy Jones left. Dude became a parody of his own who never barely evolved musically and really believed on his own hype.

Okay but the producer is confirming that most of the his first album was pre-written for someone else lol. And apparently it's easy to get a writing credit by contributing just a tiny bit. Look at Tik Tik Boom - someone did it before Britney and the lyrics didn't change much on her version but she has a writing credit.

5 songs on the album aren't by Pharrell so I doubt it, he probably means the other 7 tracks that he did for the album

Well that's what I'm thinking too. He can prob only speak for his own songs but that's still like half the album which is a lot.

Well I never heard that and clearly most people didn't either. The video interview I posted was from 12/19/20 (one day before my post) and the Billboard article I posted was 12/20/20 (same day as my post) so... If you had actually looked into it you would have seen that.

Sorry, Pharrell had an interview this week or something stating all this. I was just saying it like--we were already told this news by Pharrell way back when JT released his first solo album in 2002.

Yup, Pharrell was more clear and revealed more details this time. In 2002 they were very vague in what and how they would reveal such information.
