What does ''Hot as ice, cold as fire'' mean? (song from Blackout)

Well if you look at the song as a whole, it’s a very sassy song hence why she sings it in a high whiny voice. She’s being playful letting you know she’s not what you think she is in a not so serious way. Just like people assume she’s this fragile porcelain doll that needs to be well cared for. This song is referring to a guy so basically she’s saying she’s a confident ***** and is not ashamed of being upfront about it, she’s not like any other girls.

According to Genius...

"The association between two elements generally opposed, fire and ice, highlights the contradictions on which Britney’s personality is built. These antitheses show a part of Brinty’s temperment. Thus, media depicts us a hot Brintey. The femme fatale. Her cold side represents more or less her human side, because after all, she’s a normal human being. She has said numerous times that she’s a very shy person. She shows up this part of her on her 2013 record, Britney Jean. The main point in these antitheses is that she’s not an extremist, psychologically. She’s not hot as fire, nor cold as ice. She’s betwixt, so she manages to maintain balance."

Or, considering all the typos in this "analysis" of a 2007 Brinty Brintey Britney song, it could just be a random bop and trying to dive in any further is as useless as searching for meaning in a Pauly Shore movie.

*props to anyone who gets the reference" :searching_looking:
