Face Off: folklore vs. evermore

Hey friends! I thought it might be fun to do an album vs album poll since folklore and evermore are supposed to be "sister albums" and both will have 17 tracks when the deluxe of "evermore" drops!

There is a flaw with this. The standard version of folklore has 16 tracks, and the standard of evermore only had 15. Therefore, "hoax" is left off of this list. I will update the contest when the two new tracks drop!

I think folklore had more of an impact because it was so unexpected in every aspect. But i do think evermore could be a good contender for my fave alternative TS album. I think time will tell. A lot of the new songs are growers.

I was surprised myself at how difficult it was for me to decide on some of these. I think the hardest decision for me was the last great american dynasty/gold rush. the last great american dynasty is iconic. It tells such a brilliant story about Rebekah Harkness., but I think that gold rush has fantastic lyrics. Right now, folklore is my fave, but evermore is growing on me quickly.

How in the world have y'all listened to this album enough times to recognize and distinguish each song already?! Either way, evermore wins purely because of no body, no crime. Been waiting for a Carrie Underwood tease of a revenge anthem, and she delivered.

She better send that ish to country radio. It’s pure 🔥🔥🔥 She’s about to win at the 2021 CMA’s for best country song!
