It was produced by Matthew Koma, who did sings like Clarity for Zedd, at some point in mid-2015. He did interviews talking about working with her at that point.

 

It's very possible that this was around the same time as Pretty Girls or Tom's Dinner, possibly before Karen Kwak was involved or the album had a clear direction.

 

So it was before more urban sounds blew up in pop, probably right at that shift

Ignoring the layering of the vocals, it's a nice song. Nothing groundbreaking or innovative, but it's good. Waiting for a HQ version to decide how much I like it.
