I'm mad that Britney didn't keep "Milkshake" by Kelis/Pharrell

I actually thought this exact same thing today :idgi_dont_get_it_how_confused_what_hmm_umm_thinking:

But when I think about songs that Britney or her label rejected, I always think: would the songs have been different. For example Telephone by Gaga and Umbrella by Rihanna are massive hits but both were released on their artists "prime" when the said artist was hyped to no end and everything they released became a hit after hit. I wonder if Milkshake, Umbrella or Telephone would have been hits or just semi forgotten album songs if Britney recorded them :mhmsureny_hmm_thinking_ponder_unsure_what_Tiffany_pollard_ny_New_York_miss_ms_sure:

Nevertheless it would have been cool to hear Britney's versions of all these songs. Also Milkshake instead Outrageous :cuteidk_britney_excited_laugh_yes_yas_happy_smile:

She has rejected so many hits, i've read somewhere that she apparently also got offered Can't Get You Out Of My Head by Kylie Minogue in 2001 :katybelt_perry_witness_yelling_singing: But i gotta admit, i can't really dissociate that song from Kylie, i can't imagine it without Kylie's voice. It would have been a totally different sound for Britney tho, kinda weird to imagine her releasing that song after the Oops album.

I could see Britney singing Telephone and Milkshake but not Umbrella tho, that song screams Rihanna.

Its really crazy if you think about it. Even though, the riri navy loves Britney but there r some that drag her for nothing but they dont know if Britney ever accepted Umbrella, Rihanna would have never outsold Britney.
