I really like Maruv, everything is super polished and doesn't look or sound generic.

Remixes usually do Ariana favors cuz she's got a lot of duds that could easily be turned into a bop with the right production (although her new album is a dumpster fire worth leaving in 2020).

 

I just can't get into Mabel, she looks like an even more low rent Demi Lovato. 

Whoever came up with this aesthetic girls are doing these days needs to be tossed in a ditch. The whole Kim K vibe is done, tired, and played out. 

Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, and the rest of those fake hair colors can GTFO too. 

 

Sorry for the rant, I'm just very frustrated with pop music these days, where it could be anyone singing and it wouldn't matter cuz it all sounds and looks the same

I think Europop has a distinct sound and vibe to it for sure. I can see how it can be hard to deviate from. I don't think it undermines other forms of pop, its just one's personal preference. I genuinely enjoy all genres of pop music for the most part. 

In terms atheistics, I believe that's just a testament to the artists' message. Usually to convey symbolism etc... which I can appreciate. I typically enjoy the message of these songs, however cheesy they may be at times.
