Lynne Spears claims Britney's relationship with Jamie is toxic and she believes it is time to start fresh

According to the New York Times Britney's mom Lynne said Britney's relationship with Jamie is "toxic" at the last hearing. Lynne also stated she believed it was "time to start fresh".

The article even referenced that Jamie's had referred to his daughter as a "race horse", who should be "handled like one".

The article also states that "it has broken Lynne's heart that things have come to this point" according to her lawyers.

This may have already been posted but I thought it was great New York Times have posted about it and are showing how Jamie has referred to his own daughter and the fact that Britney's own mother thinks it is time for Jamie to be removed.

Lynne knew from the start what kind of person Jamie is. Just finished reading her book and all the things that happened before Britney was born and even when she was little are just disgusting. I still don’t get how she allowed him to be in control of the cship. Maybe she still suffers from the trauma that is being in an abusive relationship, idk.

Nobody is surprised here. It's good to see articles in such famous outlets. They give us credibility and counter the "crazy conspiracists fans" narrative

He is toxic and abusive. I'm curious to know why his other children can't see him as for what he really is. It can't be just the money..

Also, I don't have words for Lynne. Like why did she even get back with him after the divorce. Maybe she is way too traumatized by his abuse.

All of her family members are soo self important. No one would even care about you and whatever you have to say if it wasn't for the conservatorship. Exploiting your daughter for money must be really fun I bet. Yeah, we been knew from the very beginning that everything about the conservatorship and the relation between Britney and her ex-father is toxic. Brand new information... Freeing Britney entirely from this c-ship (both personal and financial) is the only fresh start I can think of at this point.

Poor excuse for a mother. She’s saving face now that this “family secret” has been exposed. Lynne Spears deserves no praise from anyone. For the last decade she happily spent the money Jamie and co gave to her, monthly, at Britney’s expense.

In your opinion, is the book any good? Or is it infuriating? I didn't look into it much.

It will only make you angry. She places blame on everyone else. She describes a monster of a husband and father. Very hard to read knowing the control she has allowed Jamie to assert for the last decade. They’re a very toxic family.

Calling someone a poor excuse of a mother is one of the worst things you can say about someone. And yet it's just so easily flung around on Exhale. You realize she is trying to help Britney right now, right? Are we going to hold her past against her in perpetuity? 

And can you show me an example of one thread I closed? I'm assuming you are referring to the publicist one? The one where he was baselessly accused of being a child trafficker? You understand how toxic all these comments are, right?

You’re so dramatic Jordan. Sorry, but everything we know points to her being an awful mother. She’s speaking up now so let’s applaud her? Her 37(?) year old daughter has been under the control of her abusive ex husband that she was still living with up until 2 years ago. We should celebrate her now stepping in to help, after she really had no other option?
