CBS secured the Broadcast rights of Robbie the reindeer with Britney Spears

It's been almost 20 years since CBS aired the Christmas special "Robbie the Reindeer" with Britney Spears in the American dubbed version of a British special. ..

 

Unfortunately CBS lost the rights as the contract expired. 

 

Well CBS announced their holiday line up. 

 

They will broadcast it for the first time since 2004. 

 

Who's ready for Britney spears as the love interest to Robbie.

wasn't it always on tv? I've definitely had it recorded before but I never watched it so i don't know if they aired the Britney version or not but they've definitely showed it

This reminds me of the Robert Haviland's Twitter (@LambysPoet).

In some posts he used to reference Britney and him as this characters... so bizarre but some tweets are veeeeery interesting.

He has a book on Amazon of all the poems he did about Britney (and her dad, and the cship...)

Well, it said CBS lost the rights to it (idk how legit that part is since I can't find a source for this write up). So another network may have gotten it between then and now and aired it. But the non-Britney version is the one that usually airs.
