Britney's lawyer Sam Ingram rejects the notion that Britney is "gravely disabled"

Britney's lawyer/legal advocate, Sam Ingham, argues in new court docs that he can speak on her behalf versus having to have her sign a declaration to state her wishes. 

He claims this has nothing to do with her mental capacity, but that it's in his rights as her representation. He also disputes that the inference that she is "gravely disabled."

"Britney is not under subpoena or citation, and is in no way obligated either to appear personally, offer testimony, or sign declarations, least of all in a law and motion hearing. Whether or not she chooses to do so is a decision fully protected by her attorney-client privilege," the docs state.

Jamie Spears previously asked the judge to hear from Britney personally about the conservatorship. Ingham is asking the judge overrule that request because of the aforementioned.

I hope I don't get shade for this. Obviously I am team #FreeBritney, but why doesn't she appear or give a personal statement? Why is Ingham getting to speak exclusively for Britney? We were so upset that Britney didn't have a voice before, and now the tables have kind of turned but she still isn't speaking.

Same. Like, how can you claim your daughter has dementia and then send her on the biggest tour of her career. And then another. And then a residency. Never has a “dementia patient” made so much money for her leeches.

But Sam is surely wasting time here.

 

Last time, there was a lot of court confusion with Sam saying he didn't want James constantly questioning if he speaks for Brit. Now he says Brit won't appear to just confirm Sam speaks for her and she agrees with what he says. Sooo James can now continue to contest that Sam does speak for Brit. Seems like they could have shut that argument down real quick but decided not to??

I think they are worried she will be verbally assassinated and gas lit by Jamie and his lawyers in a court setting, ontop of her anxiety.

I would love her to speak up herself, but they are playing Jamie at his own game, he used to say Britney was unable to do things or attend hearings because of the c-ship and she wouldn't give statements then, so why would she now?

I mean, she’s paying for the representation. Shouldn’t the lawyers be doing all the talking? 
I’m gonna trust there is a reason and she knows what she’s doing.

It’s probably best she doesn’t and if anything, have expert testimony from her specialists that can attest to her phase of life problems. Their lawyers are smart in that they are refuting opposing councils testimony based off of lack (or rather lack thereof) evidence. Therefore, there would be no reason for Britney to speak on behalf of her own mental health when accusations that are made are unfounded. She would only be adding to their testimony if she even remotely addressed it. People to keep that mouth

I’m just confused. Why won’t he let her in court? She went in last year with Lynn and spoke directly to the judge, why not now? There is no cross examination, just her speaking directly to the judge. Hmmmmm fishy fishy....
