haha exactly! Back in the day I used to dance urban styles (street, popping...) but now it's pretty much just tradional brazilian dances (samba, forro) which you dance with a partner, so it feels less intense.
I'm sure it's mostly in my mind, since the injury was loooong ago, but the fear of "snapping" is always there, whenever I go a bit harder.

And how about you? What's your type of dance and choreography?

Oh wow that's awesome!
Do you like dancing with someone or alone better?

Me it's a mix of Jazz/Freestyle/Hip-Hop
Britney's been my inspiration as well as peeps like Wade, Brian, Andre...
I also look back at old old school, like Paula Abdul...

I've taught various over the years, but my mainstay is hip-hop...

at this point, being older, I like dancing with a partner better hahaha

wow, that’s some curriculum you’ve got there! I’m so out of practice that no one would ever think I used to dance to urban styles before 😂😂. After this whole pandemic thing is over, I’m thinking about taking some classes again, just for fun

Brit was also my inspiration to start dancing back in the day. Her routines, especially the ones from Brian and Wade, were so appealing!!! I miss them working together...

That's interesting, the few times with someone were ok, but I'd rather perform alone OR with a GROUP choreography (ugh my fave!)

Well, thank you... I used to be like down on myself for being self taught, but I'm very proud of it now...
I've gotten to put my own spin on choreography rather than someone elses...
(However, it is beneficial to branch out, which I've done)

Same, though I was all set to start looking for places to teach and then 2020 happened... maybe 2021 (late)?

Britney is the best inspiration! and UGGGGGGGGGGGH my heart hurts knowing that those 3 may never collab on routines again :(

So... this is completely not something anyone would expect to read about this video and also something I never felt like I noticed but... all through For The Record I always felt like Andre appeared to have done ***** in his past.. the moving jaw was a big give away. Watching this video watch his mannerisms and body language in the background. His head is definitely ticking and his mouth too 🙈

Some of y’all coming into this thread praising Mannequin when you dragged it to filth in the Circus Megarate :beysip_sipping_drink_hoodie_starbucks_laugh_lol_haha_hehe_giggle_cackle_cackling_laughing_lmao:

Anyways, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it until the day I die, Mannequin deserved to be a single :liar_red_mad_angry_anger_yell_slap:

I still LOVE mannequin. Full volume and on repeat. This video just makes me love it more because it had such great performance potential. For the record, I gave it a 9.4 on the megarate and it deserves nothing less. :mattafact_alligator_telling_talking_chatting_preaching_green:

I get anxious dancing by myself... a bit of stage freight haha. I find dancing with someone much more relaxing...

Nothing wrong about being self taught. It means you’re highly talent! When you have it, you have it!

2020’s been a challenge for all of us, to say the least. 2021 will be better...

Britney was a natural. The way she moved was unmatched... I’ve rarely seen someone who moved so freely and passionately.

We can always dream that they can get to work together once again...
