Rihanna puts R9 on ice while she sorts out the complications of releasing an album amidst a pandemic

Rihanna opened up about the new music she's worked on, but reveals we'll have to wait a little longer to hear it because she can't release / tour it due to the pandemic.

"What do I feel personally? What do I want to put out, and as an artist, how do I want to play it with my art? How do I want to interpret that?"

"How do I want to reimagine it because it's been so structured before,"  she told the AP via Star Tribune.

Rih added that there have been a ton of writing camps for the new record.

"You do pop, you did this genre, you do that, you do radio, but now it's just like, what makes me happy? I just want to have fun with music. Everything is so heavy. The world that we live in is a lot. It's overwhelming every single day. And with the music, I'm using that as my outlet."

"I want to go on tour but I can't, so I'm stuck with music that I love, and now I'm trying to figure out how I can even create visuals to that," she said. "That's a challenge as well. But I love challenges so, you know, I'm gonna get it done."

I wonder if she's scrapping the pop and reggae albums?

If Gaga can release a massive record, Rihanna can.

I mean, sure sis. People would still see you tour once the pandemic is over, just like Gaga is planning....there is always an excuse for her. I think she is scared of flopping since she has been gone from the Scene so long. People do start to forget.
