When Britney got married and had children, how long did you think it would take for her to come back?

I wasn’t 100% sure that she would. The K-Fed era and everything leading up to 2007 was a very weird and concerning time for me as a Britney fan. We got GH:MP and the Chaotic EP with “Mona Lisa” and “Someday”...B In The Mix... and she released Curious and Fantasy during this time as well.

It seemed more like we were being fed filler just to tide us over. I thought we would start getting new music once SP was born, but it literally felt like a week had passed and she announced she was pregnant with JJ on Letterman. lol

Then, when she announced her divorce, there was a huge glimmer of hope for new music. But that’s when all the drama started to heat up and I remember checking Perez Hilton and X17 and seeing updates daily and everything was a little more worrisome with each passing day.

By the time we started seeing her with demo CD’s and leaving recording studios, it seemed like her life had become this great big paparazzi mess and I didn’t think there was any way she’d be able to put out music. Blackout finally came out, was amazing, but I remember always waiting for that other shoe to drop.

Another thing that’s weird to remember (because everyone looks back on Blackout as being so iconic) is how alienated I felt as a Britney fan at the time. I was elbows deep in the gay scene, and everyone I knew or came in contact with was on the Britney-hating bandwagon. It was so annoying. It wasn’t until Circus came out before I started seeing/hearing my peers speaking highly of her again.

Sorry for the book I just wrote. I dunno if I even answered the original question. Just call me grandpa. lolol

I figured when she got married she’d take a few years to raise her kids and maybe we’d get the filler stuff like what was put out. After her divorce it seemed like she was recording but didn’t really seem like new music was a possibility. After blackout and the breakdown I figured for sure she’d take a few years off to get better.

If we arent counting any Greatest Hits, Remixes, or EP releases through her break, Her In The Zone era ended July 20, 2004 and the Blackout era started September 9, 2007 so it took her 3 years, 11 Days and 37 Months

I was very young but after getting a new album every year or two years i felt like maybe she wasn’t going to release anything anymore. i remember listening to Gimme More for the first time and being so excited! I started stanning in 04 so it was my first era as a stan. It didn’t turn out the way we expected from the moment she divorced kevin tho:jj_janet_smirk_hehe_haha_lmao_lol_giggle:
