FemmeFataleBrit
So I’m not sure if this post has been made before, but Britney Jean peaked at number 34 in the UK. In comparison, Glory peaked at number 2! Why did it flop so hard there? Link to comment
Towelney
Because their taste jumped out Spoiler But then it jumped back in when Glory didn’t go #1 Link to comment
ShatteredBoy
It sold just as much as Glory during the debut week (maybe even a bit more). There just was a lot more competition in December 2013 than August 2016. Link to comment

Isla
Tbf Britney Jean didn’t seem to do well anywhere mainly due to the lack of promo. Work ***** still went top 10 in the UK though. Link to comment

Work ***** still went top 10 in the UK though. Putting it out for streaming on iTunes two weeks before putting it out for sale wasn't precisely the smartest move either. By the time it came out, everybody and their grandma already had it. Same with Glory which was sold earlier in Mexico City, instead of releasing it everywhere else, at least digitally, they decided to wait one more week. Link to comment
popprison
Maybe if it had a better album title and original album cover. Not the weak Bangerz rip off font with a photo that looked like a selfie taken for the 30th time. Major blunder team b. It honestly was a amazing pop album minus Perfume and couple other tracks. It could have been #1 on billboard also! Link to comment

NewDisplayName
Everything in the UK is releasing weeks later in Britneys case.. I wonder if in other artists case is the same?! Link to comment
bliss
Because it was released in December and during that month the competition is really strong on the UK charts, had they released like a month before it would've gone top 10 for sure Link to comment
godneyjspears
I became a fan in 2017 (I live in UK) and I had never even heard of Britney Jean until that point Link to comment
darkchildremix
Well, In the zone peaked at No.13 (or 14) in the UK. Not saying BJ is not trash. Link to comment

Bangerz did that too tho and it was still a highly successful album Link to comment
