Am i the only one who hates Make Me as a lead single?

it's prob one of my least Britney songs, there's just something off about it but i can't really point what it is. I never got into it. 

It doesn't feel like a Britney song, the vibe is too tropical-whisper-kygo-selena gomez/julia michaels-ish, i don't like the way she lays her voice over the beat

i may be in the minority but i'm not a big fan of minimal productions when it comes to pop music, i hate that airy 2016 sound, it feels so empty to me.

I love all her other lead singles, whether it's Slave 4 U, Oops, Gimme More, Womanizer and even Me Against The Music.  

I think Make Me was an underwhelming lead single compared to Work ***** or Womanizer for example.

Make Me is definitely not a minimal production lmao. The instrumental even stands out in Glory. The guitar (hnnnnnng). It's the sort of simple and yet intricate production that I've come to known Britney songs for. I love Make Me and I think it's a much more Britney song than Work ***** and TTWE/HIAM. Like, you can actually see she had part in writing the lyrics.

No the song was a disaster. The only good part of it was the vocal layering in the chorus. Other than that — it was very disposable and felt meaningless. The G-Easy verse was also 🗑 .

It's the worst lead single from all 9 albums. There are definitely better choices for 1st and 2nd single (DYWCM, Better, Liar, Love Me Down, Mood Ring)

The song isn’t bad but it shouldn’t have been picked as the lead single... or even the second single

It was a botched release. Sadly. Because I still listen to it a couple of times a week.
