What was surprisingly well-received by your non-Britney fan friends?

I'll start: my friend hated Britney (was a "Gaga is better than Britney!" type of person and would bash Britney whenever he got the chance), but he LOVED Pretty Girls. I was surprised since PG is not...the most liked by the B-Army.

My friend loves the song Why Should I Be Sad :makeitrain:

I have to admit the sound is eh to me. But when I really listened to the lyrics, I really appreciated how personal the message was!

Right...literally posting about it on social media, blasting it whenever we hung out with our friends (he got many side eyes). Even I - the Britney stan - didn't go that hard for PG :britlol:

My friend actually love all of her music and said the 2007 vma performance was not bad as they made it out to be.

She also loves the If U SeeK Amy word play :makeitrain:

I also love the If U Seek Amy wordplay haha. It was such a scandalous thing back then! :blol:

The #FreeBritney movement. I feel as though most non-fans still have that 2007 image of Britney engraved in their heads (thanks to the media) and think she’s crazy. When I talk about the movement they’re all shocked and surprisingly supportive. I’ve gotten a lot of my friends invested and spreading the word! Who would have thought that the world would be on Brittney’s side for once :kylie:

All this PG talk made me recall when it first came out. I was on vacation in Mexico and got internet connection just for the song. The moment it was released I brought my portable speaker to the pool bar and blessed everyone’s ears with it on repeat.

The sudden interest and sympathy for Britney here in Italy by some of my friends just because Chiara ferragni from IG posted something about it this summer:receipts2: they already forgot everything tho:watrusayin:

"Criminal" - it was quite a radio hit here in Germany (I think it even did hit #1 on some radio stations). Unfortunately, no physical single got released and the single didn't chart on our official single charts :(

right before finishing high school, the I Wanna Go music video came out, and everyone in my class loved it.

I mean, I like it, but the surprising thing was that nobody even knew Britney was still releasing music.

Another thing they liked was the BBMA 2015 Pretty Girls performance when I was in college.
