Rihanna's underrated debut album "Music of the Sun" is officially platinum in the US

If we're talking about Madonna's musical daughters, it's not Britney Spears or Lady Gaga. 

Honestly it's actually P!NK and Rihanna. 

Rihanna has always stated she wanted to be the Black Madonna throughout her entire career. 

Pink also was in the critics eyes, the first artist who got Madonna artistry and instincts. Especially in the Try This reviews, they said the reinvention from r&B to a pop punk to total punk rocker was so Madonna than any of her other contemporaries. 

Well today, Rihanna saw her Reggae infused-album "Music of the Sun" go platinum in the US.

15 years after it's release, her artistic trajectory was so like Madonna, especially if look at Rated R, that era Birthed the IDGAf bish Rihanna is today. 

 

Also this bop went triple platinum as well.

Welcome to the club of having 8 albums platinum or multi platinum, it's a rare club for females.

Didn't you just say Ava Max is the new Madonna? "Music of the Sun" is nothing like Madonna's work. Let this BLACK woman have her own lane. Not everyone is trying to be Madonna. Madonna open doors for the current girls of pop, but Rihanna is her own artist and is nothing like Madonna. The only thing they share is a no fuqz attitude. Stop trying to white-wash Rihanna's legacy.

Yeah to be honest I only listened to five songs after I heard the album in full: Pon de Replay, If It's Lovin that you Want, You Don't Love Me, Let Me, and Hypnotized.

I’ve never listened to this album. In fact I’ve only heard Pon de Replay and then SOS came out like six months later and we all moved on from this phase

 Britney is the love child of Madge and Janet and this is NOT UP FOR DEBATE. Gaga completely modeled herself after M. Same with Pink. Rihanna has a few similarities on reinventing herself successfully.
