One of Lady Gaga's biggest fansites was shut down by hackers last night just before her #VMAs performance

One of Lady Gaga's biggest fansites, Lady Gaga Now, was destroyed by hackers right before the VMAs started .

"They took the server down while everyone was waiting for the VMAs to start; but besides that they managed to ruin the server's operating system," the owner Mateo wrote in a message.

"Unfortunately this damage caused a huge loss of data, which led to the inevitable shut down of the platform."

"I don't know if I will ever recover from this," they continued.

I know what this is like. Someone hacked Exhale years ago multiple times.

I actually came across their livestream link on Twitter last night when I was trying to find a stream to watch the VMAs and it wouldn't let me on, I just assumed the site was down because of so much traffic.

That's incredibly ****ed up, I hope they can get the site back somehow.

When I had KeshaForum it also suffered several attacks once it began being popular etc. It's really tasteless. I never was able to recover what I had, neither the photo gallery with thousands of photos, and I gave up. It's really easy for you to hire a hacker and hack fansites.

Oh my goodness, this is a sad little moment. I honestly don’t know what I would do on the internet without this crazy amazing unique place. Jordan and all of his staff do amazing to continuously build and make this place feel really special. OMG Jordan, don’t let this happen. It makes me feel a tiny bit uneasy that BH/Exhale might be targeted the night of Britney’s eventual comeback or some future TV performance like VMA.
