Kidding aside I hope she actually does see mainstream success again, she's mellowed out so much as a person and I love and respect that.

I hope she can put out a solid pop record that isn't bloated. The ballads being produced by A Great Big World is a perfect idea because Christina never sounded better than on that track. Less of the over singing is more. 

 

Would love for her to work with Stuart Price for the bop side of things.

The original is definitely better. But this one is a decent cover...it feels like a cover even though it’s the same singer because they sound so different. I like the controlled singing the original had she’s more so over singing in the new one which she’s done for a long time now.

PS: ugh she should have sung and called the song "LA MEJOR GUERRERA"... ("the best FEMALE warrior") Whoever translated it totally missed the point of the movie. And girl, next time hire a Spanish pronunciation tutor again because you can do way better than this (the "Mi Reflejo" album proves it), so I'm disappointed at that. She totally recorded this in a day. And omg at the video thumbnail?! That horse (and Mulan!) is going DOWN straight to the floor, head first. Ouch. Terrible CGI.
