It's a nice song but I really think Make Me was the right lead single, it represented the album well + it had a popular artist featured on the track, what ruined everything was the underwhelming music video

I think with the promotion that was done, every song would have flopped. 

It's a shame really, because Glory is full of bops.

I'm sorry but i think it would have been worse. Glory don't really have any potential huge hits in it. Maybe Just Luv Me would have performed well but definitely not as a first single. Doesn't mean it's not a good album though, i like the album.

It might be an unpopular opinion but for me Make Me was the perfect choice as a lead single. What I look for in a lead single is to have a notion of what the general vibe of the upcoming album is going to be, and it did just that because the idea that I'd formed about Glory turned out to be pretty accurate! Commercially it didn't do that bad, in fact I think that it did quite well for an artists that had flopped with her previous project, the problem was that the promotion was sooooooo messy. Remember how it rose to the top of the itunes charts whenever it got some decent promo, if that had been the norm it would've done so much better

Love Me Down imo would have been perfect. It sounds so current and she could have done a great mv with a lot of **** choreo.
