This is true. But I also see where some people come from... they barely gave her any awards during her career and they usually place her performances as second best or third best after Beyonce’s 2016, which it is frustrating to see them bumlick beyonce when Britneys VMAs performances are (and will always be) better than anything Beyonce has touched. The VMAs are very ungrateful I think. But yes, at the end of the day, this is good for Britney’s legacy, although the VMAs are only doing it for themselves and if they could they would make sure Britney would not profit from this exposure but its her performances so she ends up ‘winning’ legacy wise cause all generations are having these performances being shown to them.

I disagree. I think those fans are just bitter that Britney isn't the performer anymore that she used to be,  and they need to stop acting this way. It shouldn't matter if Beyonce, Rihanna, or idk any other artist performed right before Britney's. And if Beyonce's performance really effected Britney's impact and performance negative that night, Britney should have done better. Its not the VMA's being shady. The only ones who are making it like something shady -and are ruining it for everyone, EVEN for Britney- is Britney's fanbase. Just be happy, enjoy the music, and enjoy all performances.

I literally never mentioned the VMAs putting Britney performing before Beyonce... You may have read my post too quick cause that’s not what I said. I’m talking about MTV having made ‘best VMAs performances’ list and placing Beyonce’s average 2016s medley in front of performances like the 2003 kiss and 2001 snake, which is pathetic since it shouldn’t even be in front of Madonna’s Vogue performance, or Gaga’s Paparazzi performance. I don’t mind them putting Britney before, after or during Beyonce’s performance lmao. Anyways, out of the Beyonces and Rihannas, if the VMAs wanted to put anyone else above Britney at least put Madonna or Lady Gaga who had the most iconic performances after Britney. MTV was trash for that list when Beyonce’s medley in real life would not have made the top 10. And yeah they are trash for barely giving Britney any awards, maybe Clownye West should have got up in the 2004 VMAs when Toxic was robbed for one of Beyonce’s songs but then it didn’t matter for him
