Is Britney's lawyer as corrupt as Team Con? Read this!

So after reading the news about today's hearing I got curious about Britney's new lawyer... his name rang a bell.

And I found this:

Jean Kasem Exposes Britney Spears’ Court Appointed Attorney Samuel D. Ingham III In Scathing Wrongful Death Court Filing For The Killing of Radio Star & TV ICON Casey Kasem

In case you don't know, Casey Kasem was a huge voice actor... he was basically Shaggy up until his death:

Shaggy, Merry and more: Casey Kasem's greatest cartoon voices - Los Angeles Times

Kasem was a huge deal. And so was his death and the legal fight that ensued.

Where did this Sam Ingham come from? Is he an honorable man? Does he really have Britney's best interests at heart?

I'd hate for him to screw up Britney's freedom efforts because of some sketchy past or corrupt side-dealings.

He's not a new lawyer. He's been there since the beginning. You are right to worry for her safety. No one is to be trusted.

wait what?! since the beginning?! omg???? I need to know if this guy is a good person :(

So what can we do besides sit back and speculate. There's got to be a tactful way for the fanbase to do MORE besides point our fingers and should all day every day. I'm so lost as to what we can do.

keep the pressure up

Sam's the guy who said Britney was incapable to retain counsel just to dismiss the lawyer she had hired. Then after that, the judge proceeded to actually ask a doctor to tell whether Britney was incapable to retain counsel. Also he's the guy who supposedly paid no mind to her pleas against Jamie as a conservator and that had a hand in keeping her out of hearings.

Yet, right now, he's doing all that. Back then, people were mocking her and very few people were seeing right through their machinations.

Again, nothing is black and white, so keep the pressure up on social media and, if you can, show up to the rallies in some way. It's finally working.

Take the Britney's Gram girls, for example. They were attending court hearings before this blew up. I remember some fans even saying "crazy Britney fans appeared in a court hearing" and yet the girls made a terrific podcast and article on that. Today, Babs said it was the first time she was there that she felt the environment was changing. Things were looking up to be more transparent and objective.

So... again, pressure.

Speculate (on the realm of... speculation, so don't go overboard with accusations, that's all i ask because there are lawsuit trigger-happy people out there), make posts, hashtags, videos, artwork. Whatever. Anything helps.

Well, he's been here since the beginning and all this time he's done almost nothing (because look where we are 12 years later). BUT we have to realise that he is the one representing her and (at least in my head) he is the one that can get her out of the c-ship, and for one reason or another he seems to be moving his *** to actually get something done now and from now on.

We hate him? Probably, but we have not much choice but kinda stan?

Plssssss somebody correct me if I'm wrong about this

it's great you already researched about him, but as people already said, he isn't new, and it's definitely not news his role in Britney's conservatorship

Wow.. thanks for sharing this. So he's been there all along.

what if the main plan is to become himself  a conservator, or THE conservator.:(

I agree that things seem more transparent but I also have a bad feeling about this. Everyone wants to take a piece from our girl.

it's really hard to tell :idkney: he could really be trying to be the "nice guy" now whether to save his *** due to all the pressure that's been in the media lately, or because maybe they came to an agreement with him through Lynne's lawyers, OR he really has other intentions along her lifetime partner Jodi to take over the conservatorship without any relatives, more specifically, without Jamie in the picture.

I mean, the fact that it took for him 12 years to do this, when we know that Britney expressed since the very beginning her desires to at least change the conservator if the conservatorship had to be placed, doesn't really speak very nicely of him, not to mention all his history with other conservatorship cases, and most importantly, that he was the responsible of deeming Britney incapable of hiring her own lawyers or even speaking on court.

It's ironic that he's now asking the help of an expert lawyer to help them fight against Jamie, when Britney had already hired Adam Streisand back then, one of the best attorneys out there, only for the judge to expel him from court.

At the end of the day we won't know his true intentions until we see sight of the petition he's to file next month, if we see sight of it.

Yes, it's a bit late that he is now finally appearing to work with Britney as opposed to against her but let's wait and see. I don't see any point in assuming that there must be some sort of hidden agenda or plan. What is it with fans and these conspiracy theories?

I thought Britney couldn't hire her own lawyer? Can someone explain please?

Sam Ingham has been Britney's court appointed lawyer for 12 years. Has he worked for her best interests during those 12 years? Clearly not. Does he appear to he working for her best interests now? Given that he/Britney wants to hire another lawyer/law firm who specialises in contested litigation, I'd say yes, it would appear that he is.

I genuinely think that the Free Britney movement has had a major impact on how this case is now shaping up. The fans diggings things up, actively protesting and speaking out about conservatorship abuse in general etc. If I was Sam Ingham I would no longer want to be on the wrong side of this, especially not when his past is already somewhat shady.

I guess we won't know for sure until we see the petition he's to file prior to Sept 18th, if we see it.

You're right.

At least the Free Britney movement has gone mainstream and we even got the ACLU on our side.

If this lawyer is bad news as he seems to be, it's time for him to do the right thing.  Wendy Williams GIFs - Get the best GIF on GIPHY
