This Day in Pop: Britney releases Someday (I Will Understand) single in 2005 (August 18)

On August 18, 2005, Britney Spears released Someday (I Will Understand) as the lead and only single off her EP Britney & Kevin: Chaotic. Britney wrote the song two weeks before knowing she was pregnant with her first child, Sean Preston. Someday is a pop ballad, its lyrics refer to a feeling of empowerment as a pregnant woman. A remixed version of the song was included on the 2005 remix compilation, B in the Mix: The Remixes. It has never been performed live.

 

 

 

There's a remix included in the Japanese promo version of the single, which features Yushi Koizumi (credited as MCU)

 

Another of the remixes included in the single was the Leama and Moore Remix

 

 

A music video for the song had been released on June 14, during the last episode of the reality show Britney & Kevin: Chaotic

I cant believe this video doesnt even have 9,5 million views  its so underrated! I love the song and the video. The video showed a different side of Britney, more mature. The video is beautiful, of good taste and so different from everything else she did. 

Also I cant believe Britney already has a 15 years old son, thats ******* crazy!  Shes still so young and already have a teenager kid

Almost bc Britney was 16 going 17 and he will be 16  but yeah, I get ur point lol It amazes me that Kevin didnt push him to be in the industry as well, maybe he will once the child support checks ends lol its crazy how the boy is looking a lot like Kfed nowadays

Little story of mine with this song, I don't listen to it often because everytime I do I feel the presence of a spirit next to me it always frightens me I always end up stopping the song midway. I don't know it's something strange.

 Although now that I think about it, do we see how beautiful it is because we are fans? the other day I listened to a TINI song called "Diciembre" that I found very boring  ... but on YouTube, all the fans commented things like "how they don't know how to appreciate this song", "it deserves more recognition", "it's my favorite, so deep "... maybe that sounds good because we are fans

One of my fav songs... it always gets me teary eyed.... it's so beautiful and THIS is how a 'personal' song of hers really is.  Her voice is so angelic too.  And the music video fit so perfectly.

I think everyone knows how much this song helped me after 2018. It is a beautiful and mesmerizing ballad, and is for sure Britney’s best ballad. It’s so soulful, with nurturing bliss and her vocals were gorgeous. It’s a beautiful and glossy song, and is highly underrated. I love the song.
