thelegendney Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 3 APPRECIATION POST a masterpiece, in my top 10 Brit songs for sure. the "aaaare you in" vocals snapped, my fave part of the song besides the bridge>>> the MV SLAYED, kind of had an "adultness" image to it and it was so clean and simple yet so badass. truly served I know this is a loved song by most people, so not necessarily underrated. BUT, in my mind it just needed an appreciation post. Truly a work of art, brilliant threesome innuendo. I think it definitely didn't get deserved to be kicked off the POM setlist Deserved a proper tv performance/more promo One of her best singles of all time, and adding to the fact that it went #1 of course;)
ElenaB Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Great song and one of my fav videos from her after 2007
Fenixxx123 Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Not very fan of the song but clearly the gp loved it. Some friends still sing the chorus sometimes. The instrumental is amazing tho
BlackoutIsYay6543 Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Imagine an entire album of songs like 3 Thats basically Femme Fatale actually lol
Iconic 4 U Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 3 is truly one of her best songs, a catchy chorus and an amazing bridge I love it The POM performance was everything, idk why it was dropped from the set list The mesh leather catsuit was everything as well, she looked so good Come through ponytailney!
Danielle1987 Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 In my top 5 songs! I wish the director’s cut was the official release. It really adds a lot to it. I’m so glad you talked about the video - I LOVE it! It was very “adult” and “simple”, but in a GOOD way. It’s simplicity done right. I love how it’s stripped down. I love the black and white theme. I think her naturally messy hair really suited everything. The outfits really suited her. Thank you for this thread! I Stan 3. it’s legendary how this one to number 1 with essentially no promo.

I just had to! yesss the directors cut is SO good its a crime it wasn’t the official release but at least we have it! there’s something so amazing about how simple and like classy it is yet feeling so empowering at the same time! and yes the stripped down “messy hair look” is so good and it definitely suits her for sure. it just adds that extra wow factor that this video has. it’s such a gem in her discography.
blackoutbixxh Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Definitely in my top Britney songs, and some of my favorite Britney lyrics. She looks stunning in the video... it would be the last time we got to see the real Britney. Zombie FFney would be right around the corner “Are you in? Living in sin is the new thing”

DignifiedLove Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 It’s really not that good lol literally one of her weakest singles

Rob_ Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 I still play this loud af on my speakers at the beach and everyone loves it. It’s still a great pop song 🤷🏽♂️
Style. Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 I love everything about the music video and the song is catchy as hell. Definitely top 20 Britney’s songs!
Rob_ Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Britney was already in the conservatorship at this point... do we think sin was censored because of Loucifer?
Puppy Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 I wonder what did Lou thought about it or did Britney just told her and her father that it's just a song about people coincidentally named Peter, Paul and Mary
Justney Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 I think it's a cheap tacky song. Britney went from singing about casual ****** hook ups when she was a young fresh adult which was appropriate to her age and what she was going through, to threesomes as a divorced woman with two kids and a mental breakdown. It just didn't seem appropriate to push her into that image at that time. The fact that she hasn't had any say in her music since 2007 makes it seem like the trashy *** songs they've been putting out have been her label trying to reproduce her **** image she got famous for, not what she's wanted to put out. And I think it really ruins her image because it's not authentic anymore. Breathe On Me and Touch of My Hand were sensual and **** and authentic because as she said herself she was going through a time of ****** self expression. 2007 with Blackout kind of works I guess because she was recovering from a divorce, it's like fantasy sexuality, going out clubbing and having *** and forgetting about your problems. But 3 doesn't hit that way. It seems like an over ******** exploited cash grab. Britney was stuffed into a cship and the gp had just labeled her crazy. She needed to be more relatable and classy imo. It might have been a bop that sold but looking at her career it just tanked album after album, song after song because of the same tacky gimmicks. But anyway, yeah it's a little catchy but I hate that all her songs now have to be innuendo laden *** songs that are way outside the context of songs she used to sing on earlier albums like In The Zone and Britney.
