Lou is an evangelical whackjob who funnels her clients' money into gay conversion therapy and is affiliated with a church that spoke out loudly against gay marriage. These two have collaborated frequently and appear to at least be casual friends. How and why? Why would Dina ever get involved in business with this person? How would she stay friendly with her, even if it took her a while to realize what Lou was about? It's one thing to be polite to someone during business meetings, it's another thing to keep working and socializing with someone who thinks you're an abomination and has spent money to try to break up your family. Any insights?

There are articles, facebook groups, a subreddit, a tumblr, a hub site, individual blogs, etc. from the girls (now women) who were forced to go through their program. All of them so traumatized by their experiences there that they've created this support network.

She's probably like Ellen I'm gonna stand up for Ellen here. I know she's a mean, nasty drunk and I would never want her as a boss. That aside, she was black balled for a decade for coming out and was enormously brave to have done so at the time. She paved the way for every single celebrity who has come out since and I guarantee you that most of them would not have, without her going first, and I also guarantee that we would still be fighting for gay marriage without her having changed the conversation about gay people in the US.
