Noisy Britney music videos: WHY?!

Hi!

I just wanted to know, why some of Britney’s music videos are NOISY??

Okay, let me explain. I wanted to upscale Do Somethin’ and If U Seek Amy in 4K but results are horrible. The overall quality is awful after upscaling due to noises so idk what to do now... Someone know if the music videos was meant to be noisy like My Prerogative or is there any explanations? Essentially for If U Seek Amy which looks like it was filmed on a Nokia 3310.

Oh and I think I will just upscale it in 1080p with Gigapixel AI, the only good source I’ve found is the DVD VOB rip...

Ok thanks for the information, I don’t remember enough because I didn’t saw IUSA so much time on TV. The version of VEVO has that awful quality that even hide noises lmao

But if you have the choice between:

- more details, more noises

- less details but without noises (will still have enough details for 1080p Upscale tho, it won’t have less details than a regular 720p or 1080p video)

What would you choose?

Yeah when I say less details, it means that I will have less details if I don’t have noise rather than keeping them. By keeping them, it makes the quality sharper but horrible at the same time due to the noise which are more visible due to the upscale, while if I reduce noise I will have a clean quality with a 1080p looking (but will have less details compared to the one with noise, I will post some screenshots when I’m on PC to show you the difference).

Thank you so much for your help!! I will try to improve a little more the quality, I wanted to do it in 4K but the results can't be considered as 4K so just Full HD this time (omg I have better results with BOMT in 4K than IUSA)

I think My Prerogative's noise was on purpose because it was meant to be cinematic with the film grain.

If U Seek Amy was also meant to be noisy to give that amateur homemade s3x video style? 

Idk with Do Something, I never really like the MV, Britney's stunning visual was the saving grace. 

 

PS. Thank you so much for doing upscaled videos btw! I'm having a blast watching Oops in 4k on our TV.

Enhancing it to 60fps makes it really cool, it's like Britney is gonna come out of the TV.
