The Blast is quick...: Britney Spears Suffers 'Technical Difficulties' During Virtual Court Appearance, 'Hacking' Suspected (Recap of today's events)

It's just past 5 PM in California, and Britney Spears' day in court is done...it supposedly didn't go as planned.

The 38-year-old pop star was set to virtually appear in front of a judge (alongside her parents Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears) to discuss her 12-year long conservatorship case. Around 3:30 PM PDT, those on-site said Britney was suffering some "'technical difficulties,' but her dad and mom were able to connect."

At the time, they said "the court was waiting for Britney to get reconnected."

The same 3:30 PM PDT report said that "court is still in session; it's been in session for an hour and 40 minutes."

Another update came within minutes (around 3:45 PM):

"Fans who claim to have been inside the courthouse are speaking out about what they saw. Apparently 8 people were in the room laughing with each other, Britney’s mom Lynne was visibly frustrated, and Britney wasn’t able to connect."

On Instagram, Los Angeles-based user @freebritneyla showed a woman saying "no one's taking it seriously."

Court Attendees Were Said To Be 'Cracking Jokes' & 'On Their Phone'

The woman said "everyone in there (the courtroom) is on their phone, laughing, cracking jokes."

Allegedly, "someone from CPS was supposed to show up" at around 3:15 PM, but when they were three minutes late, the court decided to "on a second break within half an hour, whatever that means."

She added that "at some point, someone asked for something to be off the record," and "at some other point...Lynne was on the phone, and she's just upset. You can hear it her voice."

 

Court 'Can't Make A Decision Because They Can't Get Ahold Of Britney' -- Report

In their opinion, "[Lynne] can't believe this is the same call she's having all the time."

"And apparently, they can't make a decision because they can't get ahold of Britney - because apparently, there's either no WiFi at Britney's or there's no WiFi in the court room."

A second person interviewed outside the court said today's "connection problems" were caused by "people hacking into the system; into the video call."

The man said "the judge had to call some technical people in and fix the issue."

Britney Spears Slated For New Court Date

He said they "finally got it fixed, [but] by that time were waiting for CPS to show up..." and, that the judge had already spoken to Jamie and Lynne.

When CPS arrived, they claim, the judge said it was "too late" and proceeded to reschedule.

What's being said now: Britney Spears' new day in court will be Wednesday, August 19th at 1:30 PM.
