Real Talk: Why do we think Domination was cancelled?

My brain could go so many ways with this question - she seemed into rehearsals but the theme felt off-brand for her.  IDK, I had a strange feeling it would be cancelled and then with the announcement it really felt like something bad was happening.  I personally believed she quit meds so that she could have another kid but IDK.

The thing about her talking with the crowd, I can't find now the link, but one time here I read someone talking about an interview with Larry, and he was saying that one time, in one of the first leg of the Pom, Britney was talking to the crowd about something like Climate Change I think, like solar power or stuff like that, and he said that he cut immediately the mic and start the song...but I'm not sure, I remember this.

So this is just my theory and I want to state it as that: a THEORY.

Britney never wanted to do Vegas. Of course In all her media appearances she said how much she loves Vegas and always wanted to do it.....I never bought that. I also didn’t ever buy she even wanted to do the Britney Jean album. Britney Jean and Piece of Me (even though I liked Piece of Me) felt so lifeless creative-wise. I could just tell Britney didn’t have much creative input (look at the I Am Britney Jean documentary. She wasn’t in the majority of the meetings). So to make Britney feel better I feel they allowed her to record and do whatever she wanted in the studio (and that’s how Glory was born). When the 2016 revamp happened I feel like the songs added were Britney’s ideas. So she got this sense of creative control and that was further being expressed with the David LaChapelle video/photoshoot. And that’s where Daddy Spears came in. He/whomever didn’t like her vision and cut it/redid it. Call me crazy, but to me Britney didn’t seem too hyped about Make Me following its release.

I think Domination was the same exact thing. I have a feeling Britney didn’t want to do the Piece of Me Tour or even a new residency, so to make her feel better they did the same thing: let her take creative control.

Now I have a feeling when low ticket sales were realized, Team B noticed but didn’t panic. I feel like they thought because the show would be technologically more impressive + Britney would be more involved, opening week might be a dud but once fans saw the show online they would feel more inclined to see it. But then Britney started “misbehaving”. I understand the OP’s statement when they said it is strange for Jamie to go against making money but you guys, she IS his daughter. He’s gonna do what he thinks is right for her (even if what he thinks is right is pumping her full of ***** and throwing her in a health facility). But don’t!!! Get!!!! Me!!!! Wrong!!! I feel like the mental health facility was largely a business move as well. Think about Larry’s alleged comment: “This will be good for ticket sales when we reannounce Vegas”. It was a clever move on their end because I think they wanted to take advantage of the “Britney is taking her care of her mental health right now” and that would stir up fans and the GP’s emotions and make them feel more inclined to see her when the show returned. I think the intent was ALWAYS for the show to come back (albeit with a few adjustments made from Jamie & Co. just to spite Britney). However, I don’t think they ever saw FreeBritney starting which derailed their whole plan and ultimately killed the show.

TL;DR: Jamie likes killing Britney’s passion projects and thinks he’s caring for her by pumping her full of ***** and pushing her back on stage. Also the low ticket sales had SOMETHING to do with it

There were mic problems. Mario Lopez’s mic and that other guy’s mic kept cutting in and out. I think it was 100% intended for her to make some sort of speech but they rushed her off stage to avoid the awkwardness even love her. We also see her try to mingle with fans/sign autographs but her bodyguards tear her away from them.

domination was cancelled duo to low ticket sales, there's was no one sold out show for domination , i was  planning to see the show, when i was looking for dates all the dates were full tickets, i decided to start the show to make my plans, the show was cancelled just 2 weeks ago from the beginning.
paying hotel rooms for band, dancers, bteam without selling at least the 50% of each show, remember its a business, an its better to cancel the show, and lose the rehearsals , stage propts and promo, than making a show to loose, thats the whole reason.

the other things it was just compliment, i think that britney when is busy she forgets her situation, they try it to convert britney into a new marc anthony or alejandro fernandez, they tour all the years, with the same show, just a new name, 2 new songs, the same led screen, the band and the artist thats it, it worked for 5 years , but not for 6 
they got bfans, but she was touring 6 months ago before the domination starts, also the britney face during the last show in austin was like she noted it gonna be her last show for a while.

I think Britney’s mental health is more serious than we realize and is the ultimate reason for Dominations cancellation. Fans were sharing stories of her strange behavior in M&G’s during the final leg of the European POM tour. Her insta is also evidence of something being “off.” I think her team was trying to cover up her issues by sending her to the facility. I’m sure she didn’t want to go, but  people with mental health struggles don’t always know when they need help.

i also think Britney was extremely burnt out and over worked at that point. She was touring and has always hated it.

that’s not how it works there. Gwen Stefani had one of the most successful residencies last year and never sold out until the day of her shows. People either travel there for a specific show or tourists get tickets last minute. It’s the whole point of it.

Thank you! It is not a centered around concerts. The majority of stans here forget Piece of Me always sold out night of anyways

are different productions, and different performers, 

there's performers that could able to do a show with a 25% of the venue and still playing the show because its money too i mean the cache of gwen its not higher like britney one, of course las vegas sold last minute tickets, but britney was touring months ago from the show, so its not her case, remember she was paid a contract, who decides to cancel a show ITS NOT BRITNEY, ITS THE PRODUCERS, Remember she is paid in advance contract, the producers could make watever they want if she performs in from 1000,2000 or just 1 person, the show must go on, even when its paid yet.

It's a common thing with him, Lynne talked about their drunk violent fights and Lynne would be left sobbing to which Britney would try to make her happy by dancing or performing for her.

that's what he did with Glory, I'm pretty sure she was going for something extremely provocative because she has said in the past that she feels powerful when she's **** and since her dad is so conservative, it makes her want to be polar opposite of him.

i dont know. but i did think at the time it didnt make sense at all. She did a summer tour that July/August, then the new residency was announced in the October to start in the February. and i remember within the announcement statement it said Britney was also going to continue working on B10. and i did think gawd thats a lot of work to do all at once, surely it makes more sense britney takes a wee break, finishes B10, releases it THEN annouce the residency. it all just seemed rushed and didnt make sense.

Looking back now, i dont truly believe her dad's health was the main reason or even a reason why Domination was cancelled. they made it sound [to me anyway] that Jamie was at death's door and didnt have long to live

But this is what i really dont understand. If Jamie was a violent drunk, why the hell would a court make him in charge of the finances of a so called 'mentally incapable [but can still tour and make millions of course]' person? doesnt make sense whatsoever

that's the power of Lou, see he was a recovering alcoholic and was portrayed as a man who overcome his demons and saw the light. Also it didn't help that Lynne has no backbone and don't want responsibility (she wants all the benefits but not the work, hence Britney did all the work while she sits back and enjoy Britney's hard earned money) She spelled it out in her book that because Jamie was the knight in shining armor that busted in and took Sam Lufti down he is more qualified than her as she admits she would give into any whim of her daughter (again her not taking any parental responsibility). At the time of her book release, Lou had become the family's spokesperson so I feel she had a hand in all this. The final chapter she really painted Jamie as a man who has cleaned up his act and wants the same for his daughter. It was all set up I feel to get justify getting her quickly into a conservatorship. I never buy that Jamie and Lynne are clever scam artists, they are being guided and manipulated. Religion is a powerful thing and it's something they both have a strong belief of so Lou can twist anything to get them to do what they want. I mean she was the one that sought out Lynne and promised she can save her daughter hence why Britney said "this lady told me to go to the light and see jesus...and omg like I totally did." Britney saw through Lou's bs, her parents didn't. 

NO WONDER BRITNEY IS SO DESPERATE TO BE A DAMN GOOD PARENT TO HER CHILDREN because her parents are horrible.

I think because she refused the meds, they were scared about what she might do/say on stage and cancelled the tour so she would not have the chance to expose them.

I could be wrong, but I can’t remember her doing any interviews anywhere since she got out of the treatment centre (Instagram obviously does not count).
 

Dont forget, she did not even speak when they announced the tour- she walked past all those fans, straight into her car and left.

I think there are two options here:

1. Britney actually didn't wanna do it and confronted Jamie, she rebelled on all aspects which turned his violent nature on
2. Her psycho bully dad wanted to punish her by cancelling Domination, but I don't think it was permanent, he only wanted to play it and that's it. However this gives me more confidence that Britney didn't want it anyway, so it cancelled for real and Jamie the pig was like
