8 years ago Madonna performed the first of her final 2 shows in Russia and she caused huge controversy.

 

She was forbidden to speak on two of the biggest headlines worldwide.

 

The ******* Riot getting arrested for singing an Anti Vladimir Putin song on a catholic church and the recent laws banning LGBT propaganda and forcing LGBT community to be hidden or face arrest. 

 

She said F That. 

 

When it came to ******* Riot, she said In my country we have this thing called Freedom of Speech and it's a shame what happened to these girls is a travesty ,so what if they sang a song about the president and it made him look unflattering, He isn't God. 

 

The Prime minister of cultural arts, slammed Madonna for getting prophetic and saying some derogatory comments.  

 

When it came to the LGBT community speech, oh she passed out Rainbow flags, The American embassy got threats of terrorism and such to where Madonna's publicist basically shaded the embassy by saying and I quote 

 

"It takes a global pop star for the Russians Russians American embassy to get threats of terrorism, Better hire better security, boys, She's not cancelling just because of scared civilians "

Well, Russia sued her for a million and as you see, Madonna used her BDE by saying..

"I never paid.......

 

Due to Madonna and Lady gaga's Born this way ball stops in Russia. 

 

Beginning with Selena Gomez's Stars Dance tour,  Russia has been denying passport clearances to enter the country to perform, It sucks but they have been denying a lot of American pop stars cos of their views on LGBT community and their rights. 

 

Madonna hasn't performed in Russia since this tour and it's unlikely she will ever come back.
