It's not  but that video is from 2006 and Brit hasn't performed like she used to since 2004 so :sneer:

Not really. Post pregnant Britney dancing is superior to what she attempts to do now. Back in 2006 you can at least see some technique and flair.

Now it's just... a whole lot of spasticity and "Illuminati symbols," or something

I think it's a combo of things. It just feels childlike. And yea she was always like that, but 100% of the time? Idk if it's just a safe space for her to retreat to. And then a combo of her love of bad bleached out extensions, cat eye makeup, low low lowest of low rise shorts and pants (circa 2001 fashion.. im sure there is something deeper there) and crop tops from god knows where.

People think that "healthy" britney is when she was perfect looking in 2002, even though back then she was probably really unhappy since that was the Lucky and Overprotected days, but nobody seems to wanna focus on that. They focus on her knock out beauty back then and are like 'the good ol days!'  BUT from what Melissa Joan Hart (they were always doing promo together during the Crazy era) said in her interview, she said Britney was very very sheltered and protected in the early years. Anyway, nobody wants to accept that she's older and looks different. I think how she looks plays a role in how people interpret her videos.

That aside I think the semi-permanent childlike state of mind whenever she posts on tik tok or insta is apart of the issue. If she mixed it up and we saw regular her just chatting, I think it would balance it out.
