Britney Spears wants more freedom, and she's reportedly asking her mom Lynne to help her get it.

According to a new report from ET, Britney asked Lynne to be part of the conservatorship so the princess of pop can have more freedom when it comes to how she spends her money.

It's worth mentioning that Lynne filed a request with the Los Angeles County Court asking to receive special notice on "all matters" in regard to Britney's SJB Revocable Trust.

"Britney has always struggled with her mental health so Lynne's concern for Britney is never-ending. She is her mother and hates to see her suffer," a source tells ET. "Lynne filed for transparency to keep an eye on the finances because she knows Britney has her ups and downs. She has been doing much better; she is in regular therapy and exercising. Lynne sees a huge improvement."

"Britney trusts Lynne and has asked her mother to be part of her conservatorship. She truly believes that her mother wants to help her have more autonomy when it comes to her money," the source continues. "Britney is aware that how she is doing psychologically seems to directly correlate to her spending habits. She knows right now she might not be ready to be in complete control but she wants more freedom to spend how she pleases."

The add that Britney wants Lynne to have more control over the conservatorship because "she feels her desires will be taken more seriously."

"She trusts her mother," the source says. "They went through some tough times in their relationship but they are now closer than ever."

"Britney's fans are constantly worried," the source says. "[They] continue to post  #FreeBritney #SaveBritney and petition for her to have her life back but the reality is she has a great life and just chooses to be home and private much of the time."

but it contradicts the long-running instance that Britney is fine by having other people running her finances without her input

Exactly! If you dig a little deeper you can see this article is saying BRITNEY WANTS HER MONEY without directly saying it.

But the "Britney iS fInE WitH the ARAngemEnt. SHe Has A GrEaT LiFe! " is still there, as it is in every biased article.

They also make sure to paint Britney as unstable again.

I have never objected to the financial conservatorship-thing.. I heard in 2007 she used over 700.000 dollars a month and were throwing it all away, her good lawyer worried there would be nothing left for the kids...

IF Britney have bipolar disorder, one of the symptoms is exactly spending money on crazy things. Like britney bought expensive clothes for her dog and stuf..

Uh... ok? People buy hundred million dollar houses in one go?

If she wants to spend $700,000 in one month, it’s HER money. It was one month and certainly not something she would do all the time.

Even if she spent $700,000 a month, every month, she can do that for 30 years... just with the cash she has on hand.

Imagine someone telling Beyoncé she can’t spend her money she pleases.
