Red Velvet's Irene & Seulgi - "Monster" (music video)

Red Velvet's Irene & Seulgi released a mini album on Monday. They followed up the body of work with a monstrous visual for a track titled "Monster."

The video is insanely gorgeous from a k-pop stan's perspective. It's got everything you'd want: ace choreography, sultry stares, racy contact and blasts of color.

Stop what you're doing and give this a play. Thoughts, Exhale?

It's a serve!

This is def the most dancing they've ever done in their career!

I know the lesbian moments are just queerbaiting but i'm down for it! :whiteladydance:

It's good to see empowered female kpop idols dominating the kpop industry this year! :yeahhh:

Lately I'm so into K-pop, I love the visuals and the dancing, Red velvet is my second favorite (first is blackpink) and I love what Seulgi And Irene did with monster, what I like the most about them is the evil, twisted, dark vibes, it's Red Velvet's brand, I hope they can be global in the future, they deserve it

They have one of the biggest lesbian fanbases in K-Pop, so they are being fed super well with this MV, even if it's just very blatant queerbaiting in a society that doesn't treat gay people well at all. :heresthetea: Also, it got delayed by a whole day. Some speculate that's because they had to cut some scenes (either more gay elements or more horror elements). Who knows... :idkney:

One theory is they removed Irene's knife scene because it couldve triggered some people with mental struggles

but knowing that Seulgi's gun scene was still included debunks that theory.

Yas! The 2nd theory: the original cut was too ****** with lots of lesbian-esque scenes :thirsty:

and SM Ent. was scared to release that knowing the LGBT topics are still a taboo in Korea so they made it less "gay". :surething:
