It appears Trump is banning the app in the very near future. He issued an executive order banning TikTok from the United States unless its sold by its Chinese-owned parent company within the next 45 days.

Now with Tik tok being banned in 45 days, I guess this should mark Tik toks decline, commercially. Tik toks biggest markets were India and USA. It got banned in India and lost ton of followers, now US is coming to put the final nail on Tik toks coffin. 
Funny how we thought, Tik tok was going to be the Twitter/Instagram of the 2020s

I still don't understand why Trump is pretending to hate China. He rents out entire floors of Trump Tower to two different Chinese banks.

I'm sure Trump's order was issued just so TikTok hurries up and sells the rights (or whatever it is) to Microsoft, just so THE US has the control of all the information that the app has access to.
Trump is not mad because China is compiling lots of information; he's mad because HE is not the one in that position. Now he will be.
