Interesting how Oops won last time in 2020 yet in the most recent thread made comparing the two, BOMT is winning.

I love both, but Baby. That iconic piano opening really can’t be topped. And her voice sounds incredible and really introduced us to her trademark Britney-isms. Those isolated vocals are a masterpiece.

It became the blueprint that even Oops followed. Oops has more of the quintessential millennium sound, but I think Baby is a bit more timeless. Also, I’m not crazy about the spoken word component in Oops. At least not all the time. If there were an official single mix I might think about it a bit differently.

While Baby is the better song, Oops got the better performances. The VMA performance alone is single-handedly one of the greatest performances of all time.

baby remains an iconic masterpiece and in my opinion it is more of a mature song than oops
