I SAID WHAT I SAID. mFDr3vy.gif

BOMT, OOPS, LUCKY, TOXIC AND GIMME MORE ARE THE 5 GREATEST AND MOST QUINTESSENTIAL BRITNEY SONGS TO EXIST. All 10/10 pop perfection defining CLASSICS (when will the other girls) and what has/will carry her legacy for generations to come. And anyone who disagrees is straight up lying to themselves or is living in delusion. mFDr3vy.gif

AND THAT IS ON PERIODT POOH. mFDr3vy.gif

Lucky is a cute song but not on the same level with these others songs though. Just on that album Stronger>Lucky by far.

um no Lucky is a way better song and is definitely more remembered/iconic of the two. Bigger ww hit as well. It has an underlying 60s pop melody transformed contagious bubblegum pop. Literally notorious for being the ultimate Britney throwback song while also feeling very autobiographical / self-reflective to not only Britney herself but the dark side of fame. It's literally a classic luv and the second best song on Oops (after Oops - hence why they released it as the second single) mFDr3vy.gif

I would remove Lucky and replace it by Womanizer and Slave.

Womanizer? No. Slave? Maybe. It's definitely a quintessential Britney song in the sense that she was the first pop girl to work with The Neptunes. Not to mention how sickening the beat is. Definitely a pop staple but I'd argue and say that Lucky is a much better song. mFDr3vy.gif

Ok, first of all, I missed you - big time! :hugs:

... and second of all, I can't believe being a Bill of Rights stan, you didn't just make it a smextet to make room for Slave. Lowkey disappointed but I still see no lies regarding the defense of Lucky:chrissy:

to be fair, it was between Overprotected and Lucky but I'm sorry - LUCKY is truly THAT *****. the video, the song, the message, the lyrics - everything about it PERFECT purrrr. it's also more sing-a-long and the locals all seem to like Lucky more in general chrissy.gif

I'd have to agree, even though Gimme More is not one of my favorite songs :4music:

But it does represent the different sides of Britney.

I'd probably add Womanizer or Work ***** to represent the most electronic part of her career, which is like, what she's done after 2007. Or maybe TTWE

not us agreeing for once 4music1.gif

Love it or hate it, Gimme More is a staple in Britney's discography. the 'It's Britney *****' line alone is probably the most iconic spoken intro to a pop song ever. :martini: And I'd definitely add Slave, Overprotected and Everytime before adding songs like Womanizer, TTWE, or WB. It's not that they're bad songs - just a little too one-dimensional tbh.

i cannot allow this slander to Someday (I Will Understand). Pregnantney deserves top 5

Spoiler

:uknowit:

Slave deserves top 5 tbh. and Lucky within top 10. while Slave is a lesser hit than Lucky in terms of chart performance, the music, the mv, the performances especially the VMA one, definitely solidified it as a Britney signature song. when people thinj Britney, some will automatically think snake (not Taylor Swift)

but Lucky definitely in top 10 too. give some love to Oscarney
