Mariah Carey postpones celebration of 'MC' 30th anniversary surprises in light of the Black Lives Matter movement

Mariah Carey revealed she had plans to give Lambs some surprises and rarities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her debut album, Mariah Carey.

She posted a letter to fans acknowledging the special day, but implies it doesn't feel right to release new gems while the world is hurting. She's postponing to a later date.

"Together, let's bring on a change," she writes.

To be honest, I see where she's coming from, but at the same time... what better way to brighten up the world than with some never-before-heard/seen material? There is never going to be an opportune time to share things, at least not in the foreseeable future. Thoughts?

The cassette tape demo she handed Tommy Motola that night at a party that made him sign her. The demo of the songs she wrote and sang with just her and a friend (who later went on to write the debut album with her)

This album is gold. Honestly, one of the most legendary debuts of all time. My all- time Mariah's favourites ( Love Takes Time and I Dont Wanna Cry) are on this album
