The Spice girls second album was made in five months

When you realize Spice up your life was a planned spontaneous track.

Geri was the brainchild for several of the tracks.

Saturday night divas is based on the fact that a former boyfriend of Emma's sold stories of Their Adult Escapades to the media.

"You're a twisted lover, Kiss and telling on a superstar. That's what you are. Well it was Saturday night and the feeling was right.   I didn't know we get so hard."

The album was made between takes and end of shooting days of the movie..

Made UK chart history at the time.

The Spice girls became the first act to have six consecutive #1 singles, five to actually debut at #1. Some of these records are broken. Oddly by Westlife a boy band. And not an actual girl group.

The album is probably the best of the first two. Spice was very hip hop oriented based.

Where Spiceworld took on a genre of pop music in each of the ten tracks

Latin and Banghera for Spice up your l8fe.

Motown for Stop.

Doo wop for Too Much.

A house dance track for Saturday night divas.

A 70s throwback disco track for Never give up on the good times.

A pop rock track Move over.

Soulful Pop music with Do it.

Denying being the only track That can be seen as R&B ish.

Viva forever being a big ballad.

And a big brass band track to close the most cohesive and diverse Spice girls album with The lady is a vamp.

Given how all the producers singled out Geri as the main creator of several of the tracks. Given how her own solo career mirrored the music of This album.

Makes you wonder if she technically were the Executive producer but uncredited.

I'll do you one better. Oops!...I Did It Again was recorded in just 4 months. :barbie:

But she was a solo act.

And I honestly think A movie titled oops!....I did it again a high school romantic comedy about a girl into breaking hearts would have been more successful than the typical coming of age story that Crossroads was.

Most of the time. Those films are about boys. Imagine if Britney was able to flip the script. It would have been groundbreaking and cool.
