Britney really should speak up.

Recommended Posts

It's her to choice to be on social media or not. Nowadays you almost get slaughtered if you dont 'speak up' about certain topics on social media, like that defines who you are. I also choose not to use my social media for speaking up about anything, it's my work page and I already spend too much time on the internet and don't need to spend even more.

I'm happy she's staying quiet and living in the present moment and not on the puppet show that is social media.

No she shouldn't. and she wouldn't because she doesn't really care.

Her team might post something vague just to shut people up, but I think even that is a mistake. No one expects anything from Britney Spears, she has barely spoken about politics in her entire career.

her public image should remain like that. :bedtime:

Her handlers always has been avoided politics and other serious situations. They were playing safe. She is not a free woman. She can't even vote. She doesn't have full control to social media. Her handlers choosing silence says a lot about of them.  I'm pretty sure Britney has strong thoughts about racism. Remember she defended her black bodyguard against the paparazzi who called him N word. She even tried to attack to  these racist mf.

Anyone who supports BLM movement or the justice of black people period, I strongly suggest you do not voice your opinions on jordans site. You will be surprised at the lack of support of what’s going on & Jordan will target you. From a group of gays who should understand discrimination to an extent, this response is upsetting beyond belief

Jordan has been posting threads supporting the BLM movement. Am I missing something.

I think Britney’s team should post something or should have before. Now ppl are attacking artists that waited too long.

I agree she should absolutely say something, but I’ve noticed with other celebs they’ve started their posts saying how they’ve spent a bit trying to find the right words, perhaps Britney is trying to carefully put her thoughts together in a way that’s most helpful. Like others have said she clearly supported other issues that made clear she is definitely not on the side of the oppressor. I mean I took awhile to collect my thoughts to post something and I literally have 12 followers. Maybe she’s just listening which is helpful as well. Who knows what she’s doing privately, Britney doesn’t strike me as the type of person who does the right thing just so she can praised for it

I’m black and I don’t care if she speaks on it. Because she’s not speaking against it

Well majority of us do. Not speaking on it is just as bad . She has a very large platform & it mostly consists of caucasians

Britney's audience is very diverse and far from being racist in general (ofc exceptions remain)

& I think that in one or two days she'll make a statement bcoz they usually never post on weekends and she's always late at the party (remember the 'Dream Act'?)

Also she’s spoke up before on multiple occasions for other injustices (Dreamers Act, LGBT issues, the whole Comrade Britney thing), and britney is obviously the type of person who would support this.

Britney rarely talks about this, Comrade Britney was somewhat unusual because her team wanted to leave her wrong but it didn't work, just like the post about Justin Timberlake but it didn't work either ... She has not been able to vote and has no rights and freedom since 2008.

She literally posted with Hilary back in 2016 and has advocated for the Dreamers act and has always encouraged fans to vote (*****.) This isn’t even a political issue. It’s a human rights and race issue.

I'm sure it was something from Hilary's communication team, Britney's team even eliminated "with her".

Britney has never defended herself publicly and with arguments.
She never defended herself against misogyny, she never defended herself against the insults of the people in the industry, she never defended herself when Justin Timberlake insulted and humiliated her, she never defended herself when a person told her that she would shoot her, she never defended herself when the girlfriend her ex-husband told a the press that she had destroyed her home, She has never defended herself from press harassment, She never defended herself from a stalker  Lou M. Taylor, she never defended herself from her father's abuse, she never defended herself from Larry's control.

I would love to see a woman sure of herself, who fights and defends her ideas like any other, but it cannot be so since 2008 she lives in a permanent conservatorship where she has no rights.

We have to be thankful.

With all these of these various celebs coming out of the woodwork to expose their racist and privileged ways. In her 20 plus year career, Brinny has never displayed that kind of problematic or hateful behaviour.

I'm so grateful for our socialist, comrade fave.

Also I feel like she will make a comment soon enough. Brinnys social media often randomly goes quiet for long periods and then she suddenly returns spam us with her catwalks and memes.

I agree, but she clearly has some crippling anxiety as we’ve seen over the years. We know who she is as a person, she has noting to prove. There is nothing she can do with her platform that isn’t already being done.

Why can’t we just normalise having an opinion, but not spreading it everywhere. I’m heavily against discrimination of any kind, and have posted and donated to BLM multiple times over the years (I’m in the U.K. so can’t really do much from here but use social media). Let’s stop discriminating against anxiety and mental health while we’re at it.

I don’t need Brit to post about it purely because we all have our own minds and our own wishes. Let her have hers
