Tamar Braxton praises Brandy and low-key shades Monica

In the R&B and Hip hop community, the Timbaland and Swizz Beatz-created Instagram Live series Versuz has become popular – especially during the pandemic.

Fans want to see Brandy and Monica. 

Brandy's in all the way, but Monica doesn't want to do it. She feels like instead of it being a celebration of music, it'll turn into a stan war that has lasted since 1998's "The Boy Is Mine."

Tamar said it would be great. Both can sing, but Brandy has a greater advantage over Monica because her voice has more range, whereas Monica is just a straight-forward one-vocal tone.

The Doves (Monica fans) took that as shade and slammed her. Tamar went on The Breakfast Club to promote her VH1 reality show and her upcoming WE reality shows. The first thing she did was immediately clarify her comments.

I would love to see a brandy vs. monica... i'm a big fan of both discographies. but with tamar's comments this is just adding fuel the Atlanta Clique Beef.... aka Tamar vs Kandi, Tiny, Toya, Monica, and Rasheeda (the Georgia prune)

Tamar is a joke. Monica is a hood rat and punched brandy in the face in 1999 because she was jealous. Brandy will ALWAYS be superior. She’s my other queen B. Her two eleven album is criminally underrated
