Why her team pitched old songs like BOMT or OIDIA?

Hello!

I have a question, maybe you have the correct answer, but first of all, I known that her team is not known to do the best choices...obviously. :yesokay:

But this is a question to just understand why (if there is a reason ofc), they pitched the voice of Britney on the recent performances of BOMT, OIDIA... Well, if they are playing the CD tracks, why not leave her real voice of the official songs instead of picthing them more?

That's illogic, the teenage vocals of BOMT/OIDIA are already not compatible with today's Britney, put asides the obvious lip syncing, they pitched the original songs to sounds more baby voice than the official songs? Can't understand that...

To spot the difference, just listen the Apple Music Performances on YouTube and compare it to the original BOMT or OIDIA songs.

I don’t want to try and justify it bc I agree it’s stupid but I think they did it to create more of a club/dance sound that matched the show.

Like you said, it's stupid, even if it's to make that club sound for the show, the most important is that she is "supposed" (to not say she have) to sing, so it needs to realistic at least, we don't ask for her to sing live, playing the CD tracks already bypassed the limit but pitching more than the original song... Her team gone too far now... :haha:

its because the remixes are in higher keys than the original versions are, so they have to pitch the acapella to match the keys. They could obviously ask her to record another take of the songs to match the keys of the new remixes so i doesnt sound so stupid but i dont really think her team even cares at this point... :sickofu:

that's not team Britney, that's the creative director and band director who decide how the performances go musically

Break The Ice was also pitched up. OIDIA was the same key.

But her team have no final word finally? The performance is now weired to listen, too pitched, and idk if OIDIA is on the same key but on the Apple Live performances, there's definetly a difference between the original and the live performance, the live one is too baby voice than the original...

Since Her Onyx tour, i don't know whats happen to her band director or the tour director because every song doesn't match the voice with the music.

Britney's band on Crazy 2k, oidia and Dwad are more proffesional than her lattest shows. her bands from her lattest shows sounds like high school bands.

She needs to go Berklee those students kill it!! on the stage just see the youtube video of covers  and Arrangements from beyonce, ariana, bruno mars, britney and are BETTER than originals. ( on a Musically way)

Didn’t they at the BBMAs though?

All of the songs were somehow prerecorded

OIDIA is the same, I believe BOMT is in Cm and OIDIA in Dm so they raised BOMT to match it.

Break The Ice was only raised about half a step I think since it's not THAT noticeable, and Boys maybe - I could be wrong on that one

The team does have a say on approving it or not, but it's not like Britney's singing it so she might not care. They also lowered DLMBTLTK on DWAD to make it sound live and it sounded like Cher was singing it

It’s the same key, but Britney’s lead vocals are louder and more “raw” and the backing vocals are more subdued (talking about Baby/Oops). Oops sounded really cool live because of that long high note she does after the break (I’m not that innocEEEEEEENT)  was super clear.

The remixes were really good live. Obviously not the best but the show at Planet Hollywood was really cool.

that sounds more like a mixing problem rather than the band

they rely more nowadays with tracks and loops over an actual band so that's why in the beginning the live music sounded better
