Abba puts this horrible rumor to rest. Madonna didn't steal their sample

ABBA never lets people sample their work.

 

They infamously took The fugees to court over an illegal use on one of their songs. They won. 

 

However it was a different case for Madonna. ABBA themselves are huge fans. They even said. They are many pop stars. But not like Madonna who views it as a musician does. Perfectionist type of pop music..

 

Haters say she stoled the sample. Benny said it's quite the opposite. She flown to Sweden herself. Played the track for them. 

With a written contract that everything is split 50/50. Which means ABBA gets 50% of all the profits in the songs sales, and royalties. Madonna and Stuart price only sees 25% each when you split that 50% between those two. Which is better than the 1% Ariana makes back on 7 Rings if that 98% of royalties for that sample from my favorite things is true or not.
