Britney and Gaga collaboration on Alien.

It was always rumoured that there was going to be a collab with Gaga on Myah Jean. Meaning it probably would've been Myah and Gaga. Maybe that's why the collab never actually happened. What does Gaga know about who really recorded Britney Jean? Either way, i think if a collab was definitely possible, Britney's team wouldve tried their hardest to make it happen, such as getting Britney to actually sing on the album. 

If I'm not mistaken, the song they were supposed to collab on was Alien. I know Will.I.AM teased it a little. 

Britney did talk very lightly on it when being interviewed by Alan Carr and she didn't react like the question came out of no-where or was unexpected. The conversation starts at 4:20. Cool time considering what today is. 

Gaga has always been a fan of Britney and even went to her Vegas show. 

  Anyway, i'm just wondering what you all think. Was there a collab? Was it ever recorded? Did it fall through because of Myah? 

Would love to know your guys opinions on this. 

(Not sure if this thread was made in the past, but has always been something i've thought about)

All speculation to promote the album, i do not think brits team ever intended to actually collab. Gaga on the other hand, yes. But i do not think there was any discussion further than gaga tweeting britney about it in 2013.

Or maybe she's the one that Britney said that didn't show up at the studio

I can't see why they wouldn't. Gaga is still huge now of course but back then she was one of the most talked about people. With all the teasing about the collab and Gaga tweeting out and hinting that she wanted to collab too, having her on the album would've been a huge boost in sales and streams. That brought me to the point of maybe they never reached out to Gaga because they would've had to tell her about Myah.

Idk, I just don't see her team reaching out to these important artists. Look at all her collaborations: Jamie Lynn, T.I., G-Eazy, Tinasha, Sabi, Ying Yang Twins, Don Philip, etc. 

I think besides Madonna, will.i.am is like the "biggest" artist they've reached to. Even Pharrell collaboration happened way before he was the Pharrell he is today. 

I don't know how collaborations work, if the interested party has to pay something to the guest or what.

That was August 2013, one of the multiple times she was seen at the recording studio for Britney Jean. Gaga was recording Artpop (that was in October)

I mean it’s not the first time Gaga and her team has dealt with each other. Britney wanted her songs for Circus but that didn’t pan out, they wanted to use telephone but she took it back. Not surprised since Team Britney is always shady and I’m sure wanted the publishing rights or some total control like in everything in Britney’s life. I have no doubt both gals want to collab and both are gifted songwriters so a song written together would be a pop masterpiece. It’s just the business side of things suck.

I've always thought that if Britney was ever to collaborate with another pop girl, whether it's Gaga, Xtina, Katy Perry, Shakira, etc, it has to be produced by Max Martin and it has to be made specifically for them two, in the sense that, it doesn't have to be a reject from other artist, or a song that was intended to be a solo and then forced as a duet, like MATM.

Back in her prime, she had a lot of A listers wanting to collab with her. The song Ricky Martin did with Christina was originally meant for Britney. I think it’s her management because a lot of the collabs she does with now, with a little more research they somehow happen to be a client or affiliate with a certain reindeer
