Mentioning JT is not weird or new, but it's the fact that 'she' said "I know we had one of the world's biggest breakups 20 years ago" and including a silly winking face.  Britney would never say that and mettle into other's relationships like that. If anything she would just compliment his music or artistic genius alone, but here they also added that bit for controversy.

She definitely recorded that video. She's simply having fun and jamming out, and mouthing the lyrics to the song.
BUT I agree... she definitely did NOT write that caption. As many of us were discussing in this thread yesterday by Detective @Urbanney, this caption has all the elements of a caption not written by her. The tone, the way the exclamation marks have spaces, etc. and most definitely she would never mettle in someone else's relationship. Anytime post-breakup she mentioned JT, it's always about his music or creativity, not about their relationship. As with most of her posts this year, it seems like someone is literally just posting whatever from her camera roll and writing a random caption with it, whereas before she was more selective and wrote her captions in her own articulated writing style and voice.

If she did in fact write that, then I'm worried there's a Chaoticney situation happening that we're not fully seeing.

The weird thing isn't her mentioning him. Like you said, she named their New Year's vacation in Hawaii from like 2000/2001 as the best night of her life (which I personally thought was kinda shady considering she's had a wedding night and two births, I would assume one of those three dates would take the spot), she also revealed in a 2013 interview that Justin was her first ever kiss during the MMC days. And she's also mentioned wanting to collaborate with him.

The weird thing is her mentioning their RELATIONSHIP. Hell, she mentioned their messy *** BREAK-UP.  She hasn't mentioned their relationship since For The Record in 2008, where she cited it as when she began to spiral into her eventual breakdown. Yes, she name-dropped their Hawaiian vacation as the best night of her life, but people didn't know Justin was involved in that until people started snooping on the internet to see what she was doing on that date. So why, after 12 years since last addressing it, would she address it out of nowhere? And with a winky face of all things? That break-up, by her own admittance, was the first step in a chain of events that led to her shaving her head, attacking a car, running over a cop's foot, getting hospitalized and losing her freedom. To refer to that so light-heartedly is shady and suspect.
