Is anybody else tired of the target exclusive as much as I am????

I can't be the one that's tired of the target exclusive cd. It was cool when it first started. But with the whole digital market taking over. 

 

It seems unfair these days. 5SOS has a target exclusive,  Dua Lipa does to, The list goes on. 

 

Oy a few actually  released  them online as well. Those that did like Madame X usually owns the masters to their albums.

 

Lady gaga even has a target exclusive deluxe cd for Chromatica wuth 3 bonus tracks not available anywhere else in the US.  I hope she changes her mind. Like she did when the 2 cd set of Born this way was originally a target exclusive set. Before backing out.

Not just Target exclusives. Any kind of exclusives... Britney has so many of them. Carly Rae Jepsen has two absolutely flawless Japanese deluxe tracks. And the list goes on...  Sometimes, even the album covers for said Target / Japanese editions are better too.  Does Dua have a Target exclusive? I'm pretty sure it was just remixes on the Japanese deluxe from what I saw:

Glad Madonna released the "Rebel Heart" bonus tracks as a digital EP. However, the "Madame X" ones are nowhere to be seen. Hope she releases them in the future, though. You never know...

Dvd of her live in san San Diego where the new rules live recording came from on the complete edition. Plus a june 2020 through December 2021 poster sized calendar.

The 15 track cd was the target exclusive deluxe. We didn't get the 2 CD limited edition

I like having physical format exclusives. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one who still buys CDs and DVDs. They’re cool and they give you something fun to revisit later and enjoy a cool memory too. I’m probably gonna but Dua’s new CD on Thursday, deffo from Target.

Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t the three bonus tracks on Chromatica also meant to be on the physical edition available on Gaga’s webstore? Cause that’s kinda why I preordered it ddd.

I think Target Editions of albums are just an incentive to get people to buy physical copies of an album in a world where we are more likely to stream online.
