There’s a double standard regarding Britney when it comes to EVERYTHING, not just the *****. I mean just look at the recent Amanda Bynes thing, media and public are handling that with kid gloves like it should be but if it had been Britney, she’d be getting burned at the stake. She’s damned if she does and damned if she doesn’t. -

I was a big fan when her first album came out. I remember she clearly had the opportunity to sign with a major label but wanted to stay independent. I think that ended up working very well for her. She almost definitely got to keep a larger portion of the profits from her work and she didn't have to deal with label politics. Maybe she could've even become a label horror story like Michelle Branch or Jojo. She's had a fantastic career for an indie artist.
