    I had a crush/fling/half-relationship on/with someone that treated me like garbage and who I had absolutely nothing in common with. Like 0 common interests. He wasn't even visually or personality-wise my type either. None of it made sense, yet I was somehow still attracted to him.

    I think the real reason was that it was my first potential for some sort of a connection with a guy, and just like Britney, I was more in love with the idea of being in love than I was with the actual guy. I had other guys who were interested in me, but I was never interested in them. For some reason, I just was still interested in this guy even though we had nothing in common and he wasn't type.

    Looking back, I always regret it. I'm mad I didn't have enough self-respect to stay away. I ignored blatant red flags. I went through a lot of emotional up and downs for no reason. I wasted my time trying to make something work that had all signs pointing to the fact that it wouldn't and shouldn't work. Oh well, that's what happens when you're young and inexperienced. The only worthwhile things was that I learned from it.

      I don't know what you call them exactly but like the security personnel (he's not a guard) in my university, you know the ones with the in-ear pieces and always having their one finger in their ear and talking you know like the spies? I thought it was so cool cause I was so young. So anyway, yeah I had a crush on one of them back in college. He was so hot always the one escorting me in and out of the building. He's like super tall and always said Hi or Hello to me. So anyway, there was this one time as I was entering one of the buildings in the campus, he was behind the front desk, probably on lunch break or something, and he was eating a burger. And as I was digging for my id in my bag so I could swipe, i just stared at him eating that burger and I was more focused on watching him than finding my id and we just had eye contact for like 15 seconds i was like in a trance and thennn, he was like "do you want?" referring to the burger and he got up and approached me holding the burger in front of my mouth LOL and i snapped out of it. I awkwardly declined and walked away. :toodles:

      It was so embarrassing. :wontcry:
