Really entertaining and fun to watch. Great dancing but a bit too obvious playback (BUT I understand you can't have great live vocals and intense dancing at the same time).
And as a non-pop musican, I have to say, that Shakira's fake guitar playing & drumming looks funny to every real guitar player & drummer (Gaga did the same thing many times, I don't know why pop stars use real instruments as a stage prop).
AND J.Lo's pole dancing seems like she's afraid of falling down, probably the hardest moment of her performance.

They had almost the same time, Shakira had around 6 minutes and JLo, without the part of her daughter singing, had around 5.

I also thought Shakira had more time but it was because she managed to fit more songs in her minutes, and she was doing some vocals with Bad Bunny and stood next to him, whereas JLo was only dancing and separate from J Balvin so that may seems like she had less screen time.

You also have to keep in mind that in the end, when they were together, they used more of Let's Get Loud than Waka Waka, so the time was fairly distributed for both IMO.

Shakira should have sang live a little more - I love her vibrato.  JLo was boring IMO, too Vegas.  Vegas seems to homogenize performers - Gwen, Shania, Jlo, Gaga and even Britney wear similar outfits since going to Vegas, and they all have scantily dressed male dancers.  Shakira brought the culture with her and Jlo brought Vegas.

shakira danced more too and had dance breaks that probs got her more time

and another thing to note to is im 18 and i went to a party that was 17-19 year olds and all of them knew most of shakiras songs and knew barely any jlo songs, people like shakira more in general including myself

i thought jlo was good, better than i thought, but shakira really brought it

like that rope belly dancing segment and honestly many other people didnt notice this but that dance break she did in waka waka was soooo good, really shows that shes a technical dancer with loads of energy

i honestly wish shakira did it by herself, and then jlo did it by herself another half time show,

i just felt that shakira has way more known hits and couldve easily done it by herself

at the end of the show i was wishing i couldve seen more of shak

I just watched this and liked it.

Honestly, Jlo was better and I cant believe i'm saying this cause I love Shakira since Pies Descalzos and even though she was good, her lip syncing was so obvious and Jlo had better outfits, stage props and visuals.

The funny thing is people here were talking as if Jlo was bigger than Shakira only bc of the USA (and even american outlets were saying Jennifer didnt need Shakira) but after the superbowl Shakira was the most talked about, people were tweeting about her af and now she has 3 songs in the top 10 iTunes USA. I think sometimes americans forget that someone can be really big ww even if they arent that big in the USA anymore. Shakira is a global superstar, big in many countries and now she is also slaying in the USA again.

I’m honestly not sure about what Shakira wanted. I know the NFL has a list of people they would like to perform, but ultimately it’s up to the host city to make the final decision. It was Atlanta who chose Maroon 5 to perform.

i agree with u about Shakira fitting more songs. And also Shakira was at the end of Jlo Let's get loud on a drum and then they both   sang waka/ let's get loud. This is why i wanted Jlo to be the first cause it's obvious they woul end up singing together anyway. Still i enjoyed it very much. It is 1 of the best performances. And girls really nailed it.

I was kinda suprised when people here said as if Jennifer was bigger than Shakira when Jlo also flops in the USA for many years already. Maybe they think Jlo is bigger bc she does other stuffs like movies and Shakira barely works atm? But yeah, me and other folks here said the same thing: Shakira is way bigger ww. She topped the trending topics yday and now has 3 songs in the top 10 of iTunes USA. She has many classics and tbh shes a different artist so I understand why she has more iconic moments graved in peoples minds.

Maybe people said that and I believed lol anyway i wish the whole thing was only Shakira tbh, she has everything to pull off a halftime show alone like Gaga did.

I never watched Maroon 5s show but I know people complain about them until now lol were they worse than JT?
