What Happened To The #FreeBritney Movement? – Medium

Recommended Posts

First off, let’s take a moment to pay our respects to the whistle blowers who risk it all to gather the strength to do what most of us can’t do.

One whistle blower who deserves so much credit is he who shall not be named — because we don’t know — for shedding light on what was happening to our treasured Britney Spears! He risked it all to let the world know that our pop princess was suffering! Then bam — here comes the #FreeBritney movement!

A powerful movement! It cleverly made its way to headline news, and even got serious involving a lawsuit with a fan. Now what happens next?

Facts are laid out. It’s clear everything is true. Britney isn’t with what’s going on as she stated in an iconic Instagram post, ‘I’m very keen on freedom’. What else has to be done for the world to catch on?

Taylor Swift has the means to be able to make a long post about how she isn’t able to perform the music she has made due to a record label holding her music hostage. #FreeTaylor arises. A billboard is paid for — and voila! Taylor is now able to perform at the AMAS, using her music?

Basically what is being said is — where is this energy when it comes to Britney. Why do celebrities ban together to speak up for Taylor, but yet Miley Cyrus is the only one with the courage to scream #FreeBritney?

There’s strength in numbers! Britney didn’t sell millions of records with 500 fans did she? Don’t answer that.

How long does she have to suffer? Supporting the movement may not dissolve her conservatorship, but it will get people talking! The more support, the more people that may speak up on her behalf. You want celebrities to speak up? YOU have to speak up! Tell your friends if they love you to support the movement to show that it’s real. If they don’t — they don’t love you! Simple!

Does this article sound non professional? Probably so! It wasn’t my intention to serve proper journalism etiquette. I’m here to say the job is never done until Britney Spears is able to say ‘You’re fired’. What if it was you?

I think it’s because Britney herself has not mentioned anything and the only words about the movement she’s said were basically that she’s fine and fans are overreacting and not to believe everything in the news. Celebs like Taylor call on their fans and others in the industry to speak out on their behalf. If Britney can’t or won’t, I doubt the movement will get any bigger tbh. Someone in Hollywood would have to do a documentary or expose’ or something to get people talking for weeks/months like a Leaving Neverland or Surviving R Kelly type of thing and maybe that would make a difference?

Please everything but not something like Leaving Neverland... that crap has been debunked by everyone, i would like to watch a documentary full of facts and proofs for Britney, not a mockumentary full of lies. And as a victim of abuse, myself, i feel insulted that they used my pain and a lot of others people's pain for ratings and money, I know it's off topic and i'm not attacking you, but i had to get that off my chest.

Wade praised Michael until 2013 when he was denied to be the choreographer to Michael Jackson's show in Vegas, when he was told "no" he "randomly" changed thought about Michael... :cackling: also, why suing the Michael Jackson's Estate? Oh yeah, money! Also, they always talk about Jordan Chandler, the first accuser, if u care u can watch this:

if u don't care, it's ok... but as i said as a victim of abuse myself i feel insulted!

Oh and one last thing: James claimed that he was abused at Neverland in the train station in 1991... bullcrap, the train station wasn't built until late 1993 and accessible only in 1994 :cackling:

if u go deep thru it all... her Instagram, paparazzi's shot after rehab, everything was calculated that FreeBritney is silly. Britney wants freedom, went to court to get some freedom, but soon everything was watered down bc everything was getting out of proportion (to hurt her team) and they had someone to blame - Lutfi.
U know it's her team who feeds her information, they made Sam Lutfi the one responsible for FreeBritney so that's why he got restraining orders and such. I clearly remember that fans' side with him to get pieces of information from 2007 would only hurt the movement bc it's easy to just blame him and stop him, and by doing that the free Britney would die -- and that's what happened.

Because we’re all here still streaming her music; buying her merch and following her on IG... oh and there’s people going to “Britney: The Zone” or whatever its called. - we’re all waiting for someone to do something; but we don’t do something ourselves (me included)... a tale as old as time.
