I think it's based on sales and chart positions. Britney has very high album sales but not many high charting songs. Not compared to the top 30 at least. Also, Taylor Swift and JB have very good singles sales so idk...

No. This list is based on chart positions. A lot of singles from her prime didn’t chart high because they weren’t released physically and she was also affected by a radio ban during the “Britney era”. Some people on exhale are brainless

I don’t think it is. I think it’s mostly based on chart performance. Britney comes from a different era when sales were more front-loaded. And they gave much more weight to singles than albums, which in my opinion is not right. I mean, I can’t take a list that puts Mariah Carey above Madonna seriously lmao
