Lil Jay
Many of you don't know but I love to explore charts, statistics, those kind of stuff. I love comparing how Britneys singles were doing in different countries, how a lot of factors do with song's success etc. So, I checked Canadian Hot 100 (before 2008 it was called Canadian Singles Chart) number one singles from 1998 to now just to see how many #1s has Britney. Here we go: 1999: ...Baby One More Time #1 for 1 week (I actually expected more weeks but ok) 2000: Oops!...I Did It Again #1 for 6 weeks! 2004: Toxic #1 for 2 weeks 2007: Gimme More #1 for 2 weeks 2008: Womanizer #1 for 5 weeks! 2009: 3 #1 for 1 week 2011: Hold It Against Me #1 for 1 week 2013: will.i.am - Scream&Shout ft. Britney Spears #1 for 4 weeks The End. EDIT: Honorable mentions - #2 singles #2s are Lucky (2000), Me Against The Music ft. Madonna (2003), Everytime (2004) and Circus (2008) Link to comment

Shadow2003
Oh wow, Canada's got taste! I love how every lead single went #1 (except for "Make Me..." and that one track by a poor man's Britney). Link to comment

I'm curious to know those two songs' chart positions though. I think Work ***** went top 10 and Make Me missed the top 40. Am I right or? (lol this scenario actually happened in my country) Link to comment

I wrote it here, but ok, I'll repeat that just for you Work ***** went #5, while Make Me went #20. And btw nobody is mentioning that, but Slave as a lead single also didn't hit #1, it went #8.
