Yes she is. Every time she put herself in a project she shows how she is talented. Unluckily with this shitty cship she hasn’t anything to tell, she just sings about disco, having fun with girls and ***. I just pray that this cship ends so she can talk about her situation, like she did with for example Rebellion, Remembrance of who I am and etc

she's shown a lot of glimpses of "Britney the artist" throughout the years but I still stand by the fact that Britney is one of the most (if not THE most) manufactured pop stars of all time, I mean, she's literally the poster child for manufactured pop stars and not just of this generation but of pop music history in general..

needless to say, Britney has potential but either she refuses to act on it or it's suppressed by the people around her.. probably a mixture of both but I'm leaning more towards the latter (at least when it comes to pre-breakdown Britney).. :mj:

I don't know if it's fair to really say that about her. OFC she will always be seen like that, and will be a reference to the "generic pop blonde that doesn't know ****", Avril Lavigne's "Dumb Blonde". But at least In The Zone, Blackout and Glory, you can see she was really involved, there is a lot of experimentation, a lot of her input in there. I don't think it's fair to say it was something they gave to her, done, with a closed concept, and she just sung it. Baby, Oops, probably Britney, Circus, and Femme Fat all seems like things somebody else came up with, and she just put her voice there (let's not go into Britney Jean). :mhm:

I think something that screams how important these albums are to her, and how she really is more connected to them, when we see her performing songs like Breathe on Me, TOMH, Freakshow, CYM, Clumsy, long after their 'eras', songs that were never singles, but that are special to her. And also how she made it important to bring Blackout album songs to Circus tour, despite having her new album to promote. Finally, she has been a f**king hard worker since day one, she'd give her all up until circus era, and would probably still be giving her all if it wasn't her current situation, so I don't think it's fair to say she is 'manufactured', when there is so much so special about Britney. I'm sorry Mileys, Ke$has, Hillary Duffs, Fergies and whatever others, but Britney actually does not belong with you girls.

"In the Zone", "Blackout" and for the most part "Glory" are the glimpses of "Britney the artist" I was talking about but those are 3 albums out of 9.. she's been a puppet for the majority of her career and that's a fact.. I'm not saying she isn't an artist, I'm saying that she hasn't been for the majority of her career.. :unbothered:

post-"Bangerz" Miley is an artist ("Dead Petz" is more ambitious than anything Britney has ever done, like the album or not; "Younger Now" was 100% written and produced by Miley alongside one other guy)

Kesha is also a bad example.. while her pre-"Rainbow" music is generic as all hell, she still wrote all of it (alongside Luke and others but still, she was always the primary writer).. Kesha is a genius when it comes to pop music and hooks.. also "Rainbow" is a beautiful piece of art..

Hilary Duff I agree with, she's definitely more manufactured than Britney

Fergie fits somewhat but she only has 2 albums so it's hard to judge.. "Double Dutchess" while not good, was still very ambitious.. :mj:

Yes she is absolutely an artist. She has come up with the ideas for most of her music videos, stage shows, and albums. I don’t think all of her ideas get used due to her restrictive team but she’s definitely more of a creative genius than I think the GP gives her credit for. She’s seen more as an entertainer if you will. But I think any creative person can be considered an artist

I feel like in her early career she was since she would talk about her concepts for videos and songs and would describe the work behind it.

However ever since her comeback, imo she's just a *** puppet who does what her team and record label tell her to do especially considering she's said alot of her albums aren't her ideas and that she's sick of being overly ****** cause she's a "mom".

I feel like Britney is sick of the *** kitten persona and wants to do more organic and simple music with her real voice but they won't let her.

If she ever gets out of her conservatorship, she'll probably be more artistic again

if she is so sick of it why is she the one replacing every singe costume with underwear and why did she want to be naked in a cage for make me? Also Im pretty sure BOM and TOMH were her ideas for the revamp because she loves those songs. Im sure her record label would have prefered songs from BJ and later Glory or actualy hits.

Really? The Make Me cage part was her idea? The reason why I said that is cause she's said in other interviews that she doesn't feel comfortable with being overly ****** sometimes cause she's a mom now and that its just a persona, its not who she really is

according to the director that was the only imuput she had for the music video lol.

also it could be both. Maybe sometimes she is feeling herself and sometimes she feels more awkward. I feel like when she got in great shape in 2015 she started gettting more confident again in her body.
